Some bad news for Skyrim fans; Bethesda announced that there will be no new DLCs for the game, however, minor updates will be released. It has finally decided to put the lid on Skyrim, after working for the series for so long.
The game has never existed without glitches and will always need improvements, which Bethesda is willing to work for. Although, it now has turned down all claims for any new DLC, yet fans expect a new DLC, rumored to be called Redguard. According to Bethesda, they would be working on a new game, most likely Fallout 4, however, this is not yet confirmed.
Bethesda clarified on their blog that they spent the last year and a half on making DLCs for Skyrim, but now, their next project has moved on from pre-production to a stage where it requires a large team to make it the best work done by the studio till now. Bethesda’s blog post explains: “For the last year and a half we’ve been working on new content for Skyrim; from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs.”
Their next title is a game that may come out on the next-gen consoles, however, it definitely will be released on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Players can still check the Steam Workshop and the Creation Kit for more content. Even though it’s not the same, it still adds something new and freshens the game.
The news must have been really disappointing for those expecting another great DLC after Dragonborn. Perhaps, the new game that could be unveiled at E3 will have something to cheer about and the entire idea may not be that bad. I’m certainly up for a new Fallout.
Skyrim – Bethesda Says No More DLC’s, Moving On to Fallout 4?!
Numerous fans have asked for more strategy throughout the world of Skyrim.
There is probably a distinct possibility that this will be the fourth Skyrim DLC ‘Redguard’. Xbox owners will get before PlayStation 3 users, and this could act in a negative way for Bethesda, although Skyrim fans in general will be more interested on what’s the new content arround the DLC.
In an interesting article on Product Reviews, strategy is what more gamers hope for in the next Skyrim DLC, and a large majority of fans would love to have the option to become the High King. There are still no official news of the fourth Skyrim DLC, although this has not stopped Elder Scrolls fans from demanding this in the upcoming content.
While strategy gameplay would definitely add a new direction to Skyrim, we understand that this would be the ideal way to encourage gamers to invest even more hours of game play. Would the chance to become the High King give you the push you need to get the new DLC? Most important, should strategy be the new road for Skyrim?

Invitations are already being sent for the private beta of Dawnguard, the first Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim DLC. The launch will be temporary exclusive for the Xbox 360 via Xbox LIVE. Bethesda has assured on Twitter that they have already sent 75% of the invitations, and remaining ones will soon be gone. The company has said to be surprised by the large number of requests they have received.
Unfortunately, as several authority sites have informed, only 5% of those who applied to participate in the beta will get to enjoy it. Bethesda has received so many applications for the beta that they are doing a great effort to control the access.
Just keep checking your Inbox, and don’t lose hope. At least, not until Bethesda has sent 100% of the invitations. You could easily be part of the chosen ones. Dawnguard will also be available on PC and PS3, although at the moment it doesn’t have a definite release date.

You just got attacked by savages? Well, no more button mashing for you, now you FUS-RO-DAH at these suckers with no problem.
Support in English for the Kinect is already available for your 360. French, Italian, German, and Spanish versions are currently in beta test and should be available soon. This update is totally free of charge and will add up to 200 different voice commands to enhance your gameplay experience.
Check out the demo video below to see a couple of the shouts in action. They sure seem to be responding perfectly. This update will surely be an entertaining addition to the game.
A full list of the commands can be found: HERE.
Here’s what Bethedsa has to say about the Kinect update:
In addition to Dragon Shouts, the Kinect for Xbox 360 integration offers voice commands throughout the game including Hotkey Equipping, Follower Commands, and all Menus (Items, Magic, Map, Barter, Container, Favorites, and Skills). With Voice Commands, quickly create and load saves during gameplay and access menus and inventories. Skyrim’s Kinect for Xbox 360 Support also adds new functionality including special map functions, additional hotkey options, and the ability to sort inventory items by name, weight, and value.
When you think about it, all these of shouts actually makes the game much more dynamic, you certainly won’t have to access your “favorites panel” every 2 seconds. Though, you will probably have to print it and paste it somewhere, that’s unless you can learn them by heart… yeah buddy!
